The Resort Albena has 5 km long and 150 m wide beaches. It is situated in a picturesque bay, 30 km. north from Varna. There is a very good combination of fresh air, good beach, crystal clear sea water and luxuriant vegetation in the resort. The hotels are terraced and there is a great amount of sunlight. There are 43 hotels with 1 to 4 stars. The resort is one of the most expensive resorts on the Bulgarian shoreline. There are three camp-sides: “Albena”, “International” and “Ekzotika”.
The Batova River runs through the Baltata Reserve. There are football courts, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, horse riding school, sports centre, mineral water swimming pools and bowling in the resort. There are perfect conditions for all kind of water sports. The congress hall is perfect for business meeting and conferences.
Balchik (13 000 inhabitants) is found 35 km north-eastern from Varna. In the beginning there were a Thracian settle. The town was sprung up V century B.C. It was known as Kruni (Springs in Greek), later the name of town was Dionisipolis, the name of the God of the wine. The town is named Balchik the boyar Balik. After The Crimean War the town became grain-commercial centre and harbour.
After the Second Balkan War (1913) Balchik is in Romania’s territory. The beauty of nature is so beauty that Queen Maria puts Castle, wonderful complex for the Romanian’s aristocrats. The town becomes a luxurious resort. In 1940 is again Bulgarian’s territory.
The town attracts the tourists not only with the Botanic garden and the castle. It’s very attractive because of its ancient atmosphere, the old-time houses. The seacoast is 4 km. Interesting are the Art gallery, Historic-archeological museum, Ethnography museum, the old church “St. Nikolas”, the old mosque, the old school. 15 km South-western from Balchik is the village Obrochishte, which is with good preserved Turkish stronghold.
The place Tuzlata (White lagoon) is 4 km from the town and it’s famous with the curative mud. The Balneology centre is near two lakes, which were formed by old landslides. It takes patients with bone’s illness. Big rest complex, a lot of villas, bungalows and camping-sites are built in the area.

The Castle of the Romanian Queen Maria is the only place in the world, where in peace live the saint buildings of the Christianity and the Islam. Maria has been a poets with name Karmen Silva. She is called "The last romantic of XX century". She had two sons. One day while they argued between them, the oldest Mihail involuntarily kill her. According to the testament, the Queen’s heart has been put in the chapel of the kingdom.
Kranevo is a small village around 20 km. from Varna and 2 km. from Albena and Golden Sands. The coast is high and variable. It’s a famous children’s resort town with a lot of children’s comps. It offers a wonderful combination of mineral water, fresh air, crystal clean sea and wonderful beaches. There are cozy hotels, restaurants, cafes, fast foods and night bars. Near are the survivals of the ancient castle Kranea and Gerania and the Baltata Natural Reserve.
