The National Park "Rila" is in the ridge of the mountain and part of wood shapes to the mountain range coniferous complexs under it of the four instigators. The high acme is approximately 2700 m, with the winner of which On the Balkan peninsula Musala (2925 m). Three of the deepest and longest rivers of the Bulgaria: Iskar, Maritsa and Mesta points lead their beginning in the park.

The park is said in 1992 for natural complexs to save themselves, threatened sorts, idiosyncratic and they have got signal landscapes and objects which have world meaning for the science and culture. The reserves Parangalitsa, Central Rila, Ibar and Skakavitsa are included. They are protection territories, forms from unaffected ecosystems. The reservations are part of the exploitation of the net of ecosystems, that are representative for Bulgaria and Europe, in the park.

In the park there ate 4 plant zones: beech, conifer wood, subalpine, and alpine. Dominate age of the forests is 90 years. The fauna of the National park is with a big number of animals - 178 kinds. There are over 120 arctic leaks, situated, of sets of the alpestrine regions of the river of natatoriums here. Okoto (The eye) is deepest (37,5 m), the biggest is Smradlivo, Ledenoto is highest (2709 m), The longest is Bliznaka (The twin).

In the area around the park are the memorials of the culture: relics of the ancient romans road, the churches “St. Teodor Stratilat” in a village Dolno Dragilishte and “St. Georges” in a Belovo. The main entrance points for the park are the resorts Panichishte, Malioviza, Borovets, Semkovo, Belmeken, Kostenets, Yundola, Predela, Govedarci, hut Gerginica.

National park Rila gives a possibility for many people to feel the pleasure and enjoyment from the contact with the wild nature. More of this visiters are interested in special tourism and rest outside. The rock walls give possibility about practise alpinism. Ski-races of the resort Borovets and Malyoviza are near to the park. There are many famous roads. Here has founded 17 huts with 1938 beds.

The 7th leaks is the most beautiful circus from the 7th leaks in North-western Rila. The leaks are located on steps, as until the middle of the circus you can see colour meadow with different mountainous flowers and small forests, and more upward are the big rock massives. Many alpinists stay here almost through the all summer in the area of the leaks. From 1929 here come with their teacher Peter Dunov – "The white brothers" and they settle near the second leak with tents.

The place of the Rila’s leaks are visited usually average from Sapareva Banya or the Rila monastery. The view is delectable. The blue mirrorlike surface of the three lowest pools flashes out from the peak Dimka. On north-western is one leak which depth is smooth as 8 storye building. This leak has had the several names – Okoto (The eye), Sarceto (The heart), Salzata (The tear). East is found precipice and a noize steams which water flow from the two highest leaks. In winter this place you can pass it only from brave alpinists. Most affably here is on august.

The reserve Maritsa's leaks is in the region of the springs of Maritsa (1700 - 2925 m above sea-level). The winner of the mountain are: Musala, Mancho, Marishki chal, Studenec. In north and northeast it border with Kaizer's road which samo year ago had to link the resort Borovets with the valley of Mesta. Some rare member of our fauna wild goats and eagles have found this hard connected alpestrine coast with harsh climatic conditions food and recourse in the larger part.
